After having his name slandered in the media after Monday Night Football — Baker Mayfield finally got a chance to speak to reporters since Richard Sherman accused him of not shaking his hand during the coin toss.
Sherman told Mike Silver of NFL Media that Mayfield had not shaken hands with him or defensive lineman DeForest Buckner before the game, but several video clips showed otherwise.
Instead of firing back at the 49ers cornerback, Mayfield took a humorous approach to his response:
“I know what I did. That’s the one time the camera recording me has gone in my favor,” Mayfield said.
Earlier on Wednesday, Sherman took to the Pat McAfee Show and stated he would be contacting Mayfield and apologizing.
