Baker Mayfield did not like being disrespected.
After leading the team to a playoff spot for the first time in 17 seasons and then a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card round — the Browns QB found himself being thrown to the side by Browns fans amid the trade speculation involving Deshaun Watson.
Watson has been trending all day Thursday after his trade demand was revealed some 12 hours after the team hired a new head coach.
On Twitter, Mayfield sent a stern message to the fan base they wants the franchise to go after the disgruntled Texans QB:
Mayfield surely feels disrespected, but trading for Watson is a certain upgrade at the position that could propel the team to being an actual Super Bowl contender.
Mayfield is very good, but he is not Deshaun Watson.
