The wait is going to continue for Cleveland Browns to trade quarterback Baker Mayfield. Teams still have interest in the former No. 1 overall pick, but no movement has happened as of yet.
Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks are both still interested in Mayfield’s services, but they don’t want to pay nearly all of his contract. In the end, the Browns are likely going to have to take on half of the $19 million that Mayfield is due in the 2022 season.
Things may be coming to an end soon as Mayfield and his wife, Emily, recently took a road trip and posted a selfie on social media. Seahawks insider Corbin K. Smith took to Twitter after a friend told him that the brewery logo on a chair behind them is from Snohomish in the state of Washington. If true, that would put Baker Mayfield in Seattle Seahawks Country.
When healthy, Mayfield has proven to be at least a capable starter in the league. The inconsistency remains a huge problem for him. Panthers have the worst quarterback room in the league, but they are not a team that is ready to win now, so they can actually wait for next year’s draft class to find their guy.
The Seahawks don’t have the best QB room either, but Pete Carroll has gone on record to state that the team won’t be going out for a veteran QB. However, Carroll has stated things publicly before and went and did something completely different.

This may drag out for the Browns until training camp, or they may resolve it prior to that.
