Tampa Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield is not very fond of his newest teammate and wasted no time letting him know it.
Kicker Rodrigo Blankenship joined the Bucs on Tuesday for the first time since minicamp started and was treated to a pretty rude greeting, with Mayfield telling the 26-year-old, “I still don’t like you,” as they shook hands.
It appears Mayfield is still bitter over losing the Rose Bowl in 2018. Georgia and Oklahoma played each other in the game that determine who went on to the national championship and it was Blankenship’s 38-yard kick that kept the Bulldogs alive and ultimately helped them win.
He also scored a 55-yarder during the first half of the contest.
The kicker went undrafted in 2020 but spent three seasons with the Indianapolis Colts before getting picked up by the Arizona Cardinals after the former released him.
A former Lou Garza Award winner, Rodrigo was named to the All-Rookie Team in his first year with the Colts, having led the NFL in points scored at a certain point in the season.

He has since joined the Bucs and, while that Rose Bowl game is almost six years removed, Baker hasn’t gotten past the loss. He’ll probably get to like the man who was a thorn in his side for one game once he helps the Buccaneers win a few.
