For the first time in a long time, the Cleveland Browns are trending upwards as they have seemingly found their quarterback of the future in Baker Mayfield, who almost lead them to a winning season and a playoff spot.
On Wednesday, it was announced that Freddie Kitchens, who was promoted from running backs coach to offensive coordinator during the 2018 season, would now have the franchise in his hands as the newest head coach of the Cleveland Browns.
Before that announcement was made, Fox Sports’ Jason Smith went on the radio and asked why the franchise was was only considering Kitchens and Vikings OC Kevin Stefanski. He then stated it was because, “Coaching Baker Mayfield is not something that appeals to successful head coaches.”
Baker saw that post on Twitter and had one simple reply to Jason Smith and his opinion.
Baker Mayfield pre-Freddie Kitchens as his OC: 130-of-223 (56.5%), 1,471 yards, 8 TD, 6 INT.
