At Home with Baker Mayfield has been a staple of Progressive commercials for years now. However, after being traded to Carolina, Progressive will no longer have the luxury of being able to use footage at FirstEnergy Stadium.
Now, it has fans wondering where the commercials go from here. Unfortunately, the “at home with Baker Mayfield” commercials are coming to an end.
Mayfield announced on Tuesday that he’s done making those type of commercials with Progressive during his introductory press conference.
Mayfield said he wanted to do a moving away version of his commercials with Progressive. It just didn’t work out.
After Mayfield agreed to take a $3.5 million pay cut, the Browns and Carolina Panthers were able to come to terms on a deal to trade the former first overall pick for a conditional 2024 fifth-round pick.

The Browns will eat $10 million of the deal, getting out from the additional $8.5 million guaranteed, while the Panthers will pay Mayfield just $5 million to play quarterback for them in 2023.
Mayfield led the Browns to their first playoff win since returning to the NFL in 1999. Things seem to be trending upwards, but he lost his flare in 2021 and it left him on the outside looking in once he found out the team had pursued and eventually traded for Deshaun Watson.
Mayfield has undoubtedly gone from a good situation to a bad one. He’s joining a roster that has the potential to land the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and moving from an offensive line that ranked 15th in pass protection last season to one that ranked 30th.
