This touchdown never should’ve happened.
New England suffered another injury to its quarterback group with second-string signal-caller Brian Hoyer being ruled out with a head injury after being sacked. Starter Mac Jones is already out with an ankle sprain, so rookie and third-string quarterback Bailey Zappe is next on deck.
In the second half, he threw for his first career touchdown, but it shouldn’t have happened after refs neglected to throw a penalty flag for a delay of game.
The play-clock on the screen was clearly at zeros for at least a full second, but the refs didn’t appear to notice.
That mistake was a costly one for the Packers, but I’m sure Bill Belichick and the Patriots aren’t apologizing for taking advantage of it.
