Whether he meant to or not, New England Patriots quarterback Bailey Zappe caused a stir among “Swifties” by making a surprise admission about award-winning singer Taylor swift.
The 12-Time Grammy Award winner is in a relationship with Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce. Their relationship has drawn plenty of attention around the world since it came into the public spotlight three months ago.
Swift has attended multiple Chiefs games this year to support her boyfriend, most recently the club’s Week 14 home game on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.
Ahead of Sunday’s Week 15 tilt against Kelce’s Chiefs at Gillette Stadium, Zappe admitted that he doesn’t listen to Swift’s music during an interview on WEEI’s “Jones & Mego” program.
“No ma’am,” Zappe said when asked if he’s a Swift fan. “I’m not like, not a fan, I just don’t listen to that music….I don’t dislike her…”
Zappe’s honest answer led to plenty of outcries from the always-rapidly-growing list of Swifties, to say the very least:

Funny enough, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick appears to be a “Swiftie” himself, so perhaps he’ll give Zappe a little speech about how he’s missing out on some award-winning music.
The Chiefs are coming off a frustrating 20-17 loss to the Bills that dropped them to 8-5 on the year with four games to go. As for the Patriots, they’re coming off a surprise 21-18 road win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on “Thursday Night Football”.
Patrick Mahomes is 2-2 against Bill Belichick. With the latter expected to leave the Pats after this year, Sunday could mark the rubber match and final showdown between the league’s best player and the greatest head coach of all-time.
