Remember in 2019, social media went nuts and roasted the XFL when it was revealed that its average player salary will be just $55,00, which is currently lower than what players make in the Canadian Football League?? It turns out that was very good money compared to what players are making in the new startup league.
For the third straight year, we have yet another football league starting up after the Super Bowl, but this one has been taken to a new level. The Fan Controlled Football League is a four-team league where fans call the plays and make the rosters. Teams in the league will play a six-week schedule and the games will be streamed on Twitch from the league’s facility in Atlanta.
Aside from that is what we all want to know. How much do the players make? The answer: Not very freaking much.

“Players in the Fan Controlled Football league make a weekly minimum of $400 to $750, plus room and board. That comes out to around $1,600 to $3,000 per month off of salary.
Since this is a six-week league, that means players will earn around $2,400 to $4,500 for their salary throughout the season. This is obviously much less than some other startup football leagues.”
The Fan Controlled Football league has position coaches and one head coach for all four teams, but their salaries hasn’t been made public as of yet.
The games last about an hour, and the field is 50-by-35 yards with 10-yard end zones.
