Thursday night football was never a contest as the Raiders ended the game early by scoring 21 points in the first quarter as they rolled to a 49-0 lead in the first half.
Austin Ekeler was a nonfactor on this night as he rushed five times for nine yards and brought in four of six targets for 29 yards in the Chargers’ 63-21 loss to the Raiders on Thursday night.

On the other side, Rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell threw four touchdown passes in the first half as the Raiders forced five fumbles in a 63-21 rout of the AFC West rival Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday Night Football at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The Raiders did all of this without star running back Josh Jacobs, the NFL’s defending rushing champion who has a quad injury.
The Raiders snapped a three-game losing streak and improved to 3-3 under Interim Coach Antonio Pierce since he replaced fired Coach Josh McDaniels.
Adams led the Raiders with eight receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown.
Ekeler has been struggling in 2023 compared to past years. He has just five rushing touchdowns this year while having 25 rushing touchdowns in the prior two seasons.
If that was not enough, head coach Brandon Staley was fired hours later.
