The woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend and NFL free agent Terrelle Pryor appeared in court on Thursday and found out that the judge had dismissed the attempted homicide charge against her.
Shalaya Briston was accused of stabbing Terrelle Pryor at the Heinz Lofts apartment complex after a night out. Pryor ended up in the hospital with two stab wounds. His attorney, Steve Colafella, said the injuries nearly killed him.
Pryor claims he lost around 3.5 liters of blood, but during his recovery, he began to publicly ask for mercy from authorities so she wouldn’t get in trouble.
One of two women who was with the couple that night stated Pryor had met them in the hallway of the apartment building and started arguing with them and “began to be aggressive,” she testified.
“He was angry,” she said.
She said Pryor put his hands on Briston, hit her and “slammed her to the ground,” the woman said.
Pryor also “grabbed me and slammed me,” she said.

The woman claims she never saw Briston with a knife that stabbed Pryor.
“Unless Mr. Pryor has a third arm, he’s not able to stab himself,” Deputy District Attorney Michael Sullivan said.
Both women drove him to the hospital, stayed there and were interviewed by police.
The felony aggravated assault charge on Briston was held for court. The simple assault charge against Pryor was also held for court.
