The name Michael Turk is not someone you would care to know since he was a punter at Arizona State.
He made waves on Thursday after he threw up 25 repetitions on the bench press.
You read that correctly, the former Sun Devils’ 25 reps outpaced several offensive lineman like North Carolina offensive tackle Charlie Heck (21), Washington center Nick Harris (20), and even Louisville offensive tackle Mekhi Becton (23).
Turk was measured at 6-0 ½ and 226 pounds, with the total weight of the bar being 225 pounds.
The nephew of former NFL standout Matt Turk had 67 punts, averaging a school-record 46 yards which ranked 11th nationally. Of the 67 tries, he had 53 of 50 yards or more and 36 downed inside the 20 yard line.
