JJ Watt will be playing the final game of his NFL career this Sunday, having announced his retirement last month.
The defensive end has had a remarkable metier in the pros – sadly, it’s going to end without him winning a Super Bowl. However, he’s a nailed-on cert for the Hall of Fame, having won the Defensive Player of the Year Award on three occasions while a five-time Pro Bowl star and five-time First-Team All-Pro.
With the Arizona Cardinals to end their regular season against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Watt has revealed a pair of custom cleats via social media he plans on wearing. Watt is no stranger to bespoke kicks but has gone all out for his swansong fixture, getting SoLegit Customs to hook him up.
As one would expect, the design is of a very personal nature and every bit of it points to something important in his life.

Late last month, Watt revealed his intention to retire, noting that the first game his son ever attended will be the last home game of his career.
“Koa’s first ever NFL game. My last ever NFL home game,” he tweeted a few days after the Cardinals’ loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. “My heart is filled with nothing but love and gratitude. It’s been an absolute honor and a pleasure.”
