There is more than one reason why the Arizona Cardinals have been so bad since their undefeated streak ended in 2021. The team has gone 8-19 since they started the 2021 season 7-0. That includes a bad playoff loss as well.
QB Kyler Murray signed a deal that stated he had to study film, then he played badly during the year that explained why they had to put it in his contract, even though they later took it out.
Head coach Kliff Kingsbury was fired after the bad year, but it appears there was a lot more going on in the organization that we are now finding out about.
A new survey from around 1,300 NFL players showed stunning revelations about teams in the league and the Cardinals are a notable one. The NFL Players Association released its first annual report card grading each team on eight criteria: treatment of families, nutrition, weight room, strength staff, training room, training staff, locker room, and travel.
The players voted that the Washington Commanders and Arizona Cardinals have the worst working conditions in the league.
20 F’s or F-minuses were given out and both franchises combined for 45% of them. The Cardinals led the pack with five F’s. They received failing grades for treatment of families, nutrition, weight room, training room, and locker room.

Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill claimed much of the backlash was “inaccurate.”
As for the best teams in the league, the Minnesota Vikings received A’s across the board, the Miami Dolphins got seven A’s and the Las Vegas Raiders got six A’s and two B’s.
The Cardinals recently fired head coach Kliff Kingsbury after four seasons and have since hired a new head coach. Starting QB Kyler Murray is recovering from a torn ACL and he is not expected to be ready for the start of the new season. The 2023 season might be an even worse year for the team.
