It does not look like the Arizona cardinals have any interest in trading Patrick Peterson. According to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, the Cardinals have rebuffed other teams’ advances for the star cornerback and turned down multiple “significant” deals.
One of the offers is said to have included a first-round pick for Peterson and possibly more. Florio also speculated that since the Eagles reportedly offered a first and second-round pick for CB Jalen Ramsey, they could have offered something similar to the Cardinals.
However, the Cardinals have maintained publicly and privately that they are not considering dealing the corner.
“I don’t know why the questions persist,” Keim said via Darren Urban of the team website. “I have addressed it multiple times, last week or a couple of weeks ago — we are not trading Patrick Peterson. Our stance is simply been, why trade a player in his prime at one of the hardest positions to find, for a maybe or a couple of maybes (with draft picks).
The 29-year-old Peterson, who completed his six-game suspension for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy, played in his 1st game last week and registered seven total tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.
