Every offseason, all 32 fan bases think they have a shot at being good and possibly making it all the way to the Super Bowl. Reality can be often disappointing.
Last year, the Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans ended up with the 1st and second-worst records in the league, and not many would argue that they were easily two of the most poorly constructed teams headed into the year.
Headed into the 2023 season, both have new young quarterbacks that could be the future and change everything, but where does that leave them on the most recent list that was put out this week?
Over the weekend, ESPN ranked every NFL team from best to worst on who had the worst record. The Chiefs had the best while the Cardinals had the worst. The Texans are 29th while the Panthers are 25th.
The bottom alone has three AFC South teams with the Titans, Colts, and Texans.
The Rams, who won the Super Bowl during the 2021 season have the second-worst roster while the Tampa Bay Bucs without Tom Brady are placed 27th.

The Washington Commanders, who will have a new owner, are being tabbed with the 24th worst roster.
The top seven eight teams were all in the playoffs back in January, with the exception of the Seattle Seahawks who were placed at 12th, and the Jacksonville Jaguars who were at 15th.
In the end, the list likely won’t play out like this as injuries and poor play can change everything.
