The Arizona Cardinals clearly believe Kyler Murray to be their longterm franchise quarterback, but he isn’t perfect.
As part of Kyler Murray’s $230.5 million contract extension with the Arizona Cardinals, the star quarterback will be required to keep up his study habits.
Murray’s extension includes an addendum that includes four hours of “independent study” of film each game week.
This is pretty sad if the team has to put in a clause for their franchise QB to study their upcoming opponents.

In Mike Sando’s poll of 50 NFL coaches and executives at The Athletic, Murray finds himself in the second tier of NFL QBs at No. 13. Tier 2 quarterbacks are described as players who can carry their teams at times but not on a regular basis.
“He has a hole or two in his game,” writes Sando.
This past season, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray had a nice season, posting 3,787 yards and 24 touchdowns in 14 games. The team finished 11-6 and he earned his second straight Pro Bowl nod.
