When NBA and NF money is given out, it can be quite lucrative, but neither sport has anything on Major League Baseball.
With ten years in the National Football League, Aqib Talib has tallied around $64 million in his career. Take somebody like Ronald Acuña who has played a total of 115 career MLB games which was good enough for him to ink a massive 8-year, $100 million contract with the Braves.
Even that amount is peanuts compared to to the 10-year, $330 million contract Bryce Harper signed with the Philadelphia Phillies. Even better would be the 12-year, $430 million contract that Mike Trout signed with the Angels.
Talib saw those amount and immediately took to Twitter and reacted like this:
We are right there with you, Talib!
