Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris has already greenlit a trade for one of his other teams, with James Harden getting traded to the Los Angeles Clippers from the Philadelphia 76ers early this Tuesday morning.
With the NFL trade deadline just a few hours away, he could sanction additional departures.
According to NBC’s JP Finlay, Commanders running back Antonio Gibson might possibly be on the move today and is one player to look out for as he’s garnered lots of interest around the league. Finlay claims that, while the player has seen his role reduced in Washington this season, other teams like his upside.
“Antonio Gibson. His role is reduced in Washington but other teams like his upside,” the reporter posted to X. “Doesn’t mean something will get done but at least conversations.”
The former third-round pick has recorded just 20 carries in his eight appearances this season. He had 577 carries over the past three seasons combined.
As Finlay has suggested, he might not be moved ahead of the looming deadline but, if there are talks, it’s always possible.

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Browns are understood to be serious about a move for quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who could make a move ahead of the deadline, though acting as his own agent could complicate things.
