For the first time in his career, Tom Brady is set to be an unrestricted free agent. If the New England Patriots don’t extend him before he hits free agency in March, he will have his choice of choosing any team that is willing to take on a 6-time Super Bowl champion.
That leads to speculation on where he might end up, with one of the loudest rumors being him headed to the Chargers.
Well, you can add recently retired tight end Antonio Gates to the many people that think it might happen.
“If he comes here, I’m gonna be a big fan. I heard that he might come out here and bless us with his presence, and if he does that, it would be a great sight to see in L.A,” Gates said.
Quarterback Philip Rivers, who he caught passes from for 15 years, is currently a free agent and there have been rumors that the franchise might move on from him.
Should the Chargers choose to move on from the 38-year old, he has said that he would be open to playing for another team in the NFL.
