Antonio Callaway had a ton of talent during his days at Florida, and then in the NFL, but off-the-field issues continue to be a nuisance in his personal life and is stopping him from reaching his full potential.
The current Dallas Cowboys wide receiver signed a futures contract with the team back in January.
But, according to insider Andy Slater, Callaway is now facing more legal issues, as he was arrested in Miami over the weekend on a warrant for driving with a suspended license and failing to pay.
More details have since emerged.
Callaway was actually a passenger, not a driver, in a car that was stopped for speeding. When an officer told everyone in the car they needed to show ID for “officer safety purposes,” legally, Callaway didn’t have to.
Because he did was the reason he got arrested.

What punishment the Cowboys decide to hand down for this incident, if any, remains to be seen.
This is not the first time that Callaway has had off-field issues.
In 2018, the former Florida Gator was cited in Ohio for the same offense; he was also in trouble that year for violating the NFL’s substance usage policy. Callaway was then suspended for ten games in 2019 for the same offense.
After making 11 starts in 2018 as a rookie and recording 586 receiving yards, Callaway has played in just nine games since then. He last played in 2020 with the Miami Dolphins for five games.
Since the 2018 season, Callaway has appeared in 25 games recording 53 catches for 695 yards and five touchdowns.
