The New England Patriots and their no nonsense approach to player distractions had finally had enough and decided to part ways with Antonio Brown after one game played with the franchise.
Soon after the announcement, the Patriots released a statement.
“The New England Patriots are releasing Antonio Brown. We appreciate the hard work of many people over the past 11 days, but we feel that it is best to move in a different direction at this time.”
Before the official announcement actually came down, Brown himself took to Twitter and seemingly gave his farewell and then proceeded to post numerous pictures of his short stay with the Patriots.

All of this news comes less than 24 hours after the report of Brown sending menacing and harassing text messages to an unnamed accuser that pointed to his sexual misconduct after she was hired by him to paint a mural at his house.
The 31-year-old appeared in one game for the Patriots and caught four passes for 56 yards receiving and one touchdown.
