Antonio Brown appears to be done with football, and for real this time.
Brown last played an NFL game for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 17 of the 2021 season. After a disagreement with coaches, Brown took off his jersey and left the Bucs’ road game against the New York Jets. Brown was subsequently released from his contract.
The controversial wide receiver formed ML Football that his playing career is over. Brown used the word “Legacy” as his statement.
According to a report from TMZ Sports, Brown will now focus on his new career as part owner of the Arena Football League’s Albany Empire club:
“TMZ Sports is told AB is 100% committed to his new position with the team … and will be as hands-on as his schedule allows.”
Brown was a seven-time Pro Bowler who won a Super Bowl 55 ring with the Buccaneers in the 2020 season. But his career accomplishments are largely overshadowed by the many legal troubles and controversies off the field.
