Wide receiver Antonio Brown made sure he made his way back to social media after the New England Patriots released him on Friday afternoon, and only playing one game with them.
If you check Brown’s social media activity on Twitter, you’d see the only thing he put on there was a retweet from the Patriots account when he got signed. Then…silence for 9 days.
When the announcement came down on Friday, he returned in a big way.
His final tweet on Friday had to be the best one because the often controversial WR put out a tweet as he couldn’t believe he tenure came to an end on a Friday and on his day off.

“The New England Patriots are releasing Antonio Brown. We appreciate the hard work of many people over the past 11 days, but we feel that it is best to move in a different direction at this time,” the Patriots said in their own statement.
After burning bridges with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Brown was traded to the Oakland Raiders before the 2019 season. Now his career sits in limbo as he awaits the NFL to finish their investigation and hope that another team will take a chance on him.
