Free-agent receiver Antonio Brown was quiet for sometime on social media as he deals with the NFL investigating sexual assault claims against him, but his silence wouldn’t last long.
The often controversial WR took to Instagram and made it clear that he still wants to play, and seemed to indicate he wants to return to the Patriots.
He encouraged any of his Instagram followers who follow the Patriots to have the team call him.
“The Patriots have to pay me,” Brown said in reference to grievances filed last week against the team for unpaid signing bonus and guaranteed salary. “They may as well play me.”
It was widely reported that Tom Brady was not happy with Brown being released, while owner Robert Kraft wanted to cut ties upon finding out that he sent harassing text messages to a second female accuser.
The wide out remains unsigned and the league has said there’s a chance if he were to be signed by a team he could be placed on the Commissioners’ Exempt list as it conducts its own investigation.
