Antonio Brown’s future in Pittsburgh is starting to become even more clear following the comments by the president of the team.
On Thursday, Steelers president Art Rooney II gave a statement that suggested that the team wasn’t going to release Brown from the team, but they haven’t exactly ruled out trading him before the start of the 2019 season.
“Whether the situation can be reconciled and have him back on the team next year, we’re a long way away from thinking that can happen. We’re not closing the door on anything at this point,” Rooney told the Post Gazeete.
On top of everything that is going on, Rooney also revealed that Brown has refused to return repeated phone calls from him and coach Mike Tomlin.
Shortly after those comments made their way across social media, the Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver took to Instagram and posted a cryptic photo of him and Rooney shaking hands.

Antonio Brown’s antics have clearly worn thin on everybody in the organization, so a clean split between the two would be best for both sides.
