Shannon Sharpe is set to leave FS1’s popular morning show Undisputed, with news of the former NFL tight end reaching a buyout with FOX Sports breaking this Wednesday night.
The 54-year-old has been covering the biggest NFL and NBA developments alongside co-host Skip Bayless since 2016 but their on-air relationship will come to an end at the close of the NBA season, with his Club Shay Shay podcast to leave the network as well.
Antonio Brown may be intent on replacing the NFL Hall of Famer, having put out a tweet late Wednesday night that suggests he’s coming for that spot.
“Me omw to take Shannon Sharpe’s spot on Undisputed #ABUndisputed,” he captioned a GIF of a flying superhero.
Brown is probably being flippant here and, even if he does want to take over from Sharpe, we know how things can fall apart when he’s involved. The former Pittsburgh Steelers star had announced plans to play for his Arena League team, the Albany Empire, over the weekend. But that did not happen.

As for Sharpe, there’s nothing on his future plans or on who might replace him alongside Bayless. But that news shouldn’t be very far off.
