Most of us figured it was probably only a matter of time before Antonio Brown wore out his welcome in Tampa Bay. And it appears as though we were right.
The much maligned wide receiver appears to have played his final game for Bruce Arians and Tom Brady’ team after what transpired along the sidelines during today’s game against the Jets in New York. Late in the third quarter of the contest, Brown was seen throwing a fit on the sidelines Bucs sideline. It eventually escalated to the point where he began stripping off his uniform and threw it into the stands before making his way off the field.
And while he made his way off the field, Brown was sure to wave to the crowd, as if to tell us all that this will be the last we’ll be seeing of the diva wideout.
It’s been a struggle for the Bucs today in the Big Apple. Early in the fourth quarter they find themselves trailing the lowly Jets. Prior to his mid-game retirement, Brown had accumulated just three catches on five targets for 26 yards.
If this is the last we see of Antonio Brown on an NFL field, it will have been a very appropriate exit for the controversial star.
