Antonio Brown loves attention.
This week, he is going viral for posting a video of himself with a lighter and his Raiders jersey that never actually got to play in. Instead of lighting it on fire, he puts a note that reads, “Thank you.” He then puts another note that reads, “for wasting my money.”
The former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver got his wish a few years ago when the team traded him to the then-Oakland Raiders. Oakland acquired Brown from the Pittsburgh Steelers in March 2019.
Soon, his feet became a major talking point in Raiders training camp because of a mysterious injury that was keeping him off the field. Brown’s feet turned out to be the start of his problems as a member of the Raiders.
He would lose a grievance against the NFL to keep the helmet he had been wearing his entire career and then Mike Mayock seemed to issue Brown an ultimatum to return to the team amid his helmet dispute which caused Brown to use terrible language towards him.
The Raiders released Brown two days before their season opener as he never stepped foot on the field as a member of the team.
