Antonio Brown’s mid-game departure from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has been well-documented and now we are revisiting that moment this week, because Brown is trying to make a point about why he walked off the field on that fateful day.
Brown remains adamant that the Bucs were forcing him to play on a severely injured ankle, while head coach Bruce Arians has claimed that Brown was simply angry about not getting the ball enough. His former teammate in Mike Evans has seemingly outed him for wanting the ball in a recent interview.
Brown’s latest comments came via Instagram, where he posted an X-ray, and claimed he was lied to by Bucs quarterback Tom Brady.
“They tried to hurt me intentionally @buccaneers,” Brown said on Instagram. “Sent me out there after knowing I was still hurt. Tom said he would throw it if I came to play hurt I came. He didn’t throw it imagine being hurt having to play through this and being lied to.
“Coach said if I couldn’t run on this get the f—k out of here. F—K all you MF. Still caint stop me @nfl.”

Brady targeted Brown five times in the first half of that game against the Jets, one shy of the team high up to that point.
After his final catch, Brown removed his uniform and walked across the field in the middle of the game, heading to the locker room and eventually leaving the stadium.
After the game, Arians said Brown was “no longer a Buc,” and he was released days later.
