In the most unsurprising news of the day, Antonio Brown canceled a scheduled performance at a nightclub in Worcester, Massachusetts last night, just hours before he was set to take the stage.
According to updates from the promoter of the event’s social media accounts, Brown was expected to fly into Boston on Thursday and perform at the nightclub Whiskey on Water at around midnight, but his flight from Miami was cancelled. As a result, Vodkyte, the Boston-based alcoholic sports drink company who was sponsoring the event, announced that they would be canceling the show and refunding all tickets.
According to Whiskey on Water owner Michael Erlich, the event was booked at their venue just three days prior to the performance date.
“Our new manager has some entertainment connections in Boston through a promoter, and he reached out to me and said he thought he could get Antonio Brown here,” Erlich said. “I’m like, ‘Sure you can. The Bucs couldn’t even get him in the field. How are we going to get him?’”
While the capacity of the venue is said to be 280, only 200 tickets were reportedly sold. I guess people just aren’t that eager to see AB spit some bars.

As for those who did show up to the venue expecting to see Antonio Brown, they were none too pleased.
College student Corin Mahan was celebrating her 21st birthday and decided to show up because her father is a big Steelers fan. “My dad is a huge Steelers fan, I wanted to come to say that I met him,” she told Mass Live.
Daikari Robinson, who was also in attendance, said, “It hurts, it hurts a lot.”
That’s what happens when you put your faith in Antonio Brown. I bet there are a lot of Steelers, Raiders, Patriots and Bucs fans who can tell you all about it.
