Following his most recent arrest warrant concerning unpaid child support, Antonio Brown is now speaking out about the situation.
The former All-Pro wide receiver made it clear that he recently made a payment. Brown owed more than $30,000 in payments to ex Wiltrice Jackson, which he later shared he paid in an Instagram post with a receipt for $33,250.58.
Brown then spoke to CBS6 in Albany in an attempt to further clear his name.
“Yeah well first off, anytime you say a guy own a team, there’s going to be some garnish in the wages,” Brown began.
“But let’s get this clear: I paid my bills, I’m a professional. It’s about running the [Albany] Empire and running the business. We don’t need negativity on my name, it’s bigger than me.”
This is hardly the first time he has been accused of not paying his bills. It was earlier this month when a celebrity jeweler sued the ex-NFL star after claiming he failed to pay for nearly $1.1 million in diamond-encrusted jewelry.

At one point, Brown was widely regarded as one of the best wide receivers in the league, but has also had his fair share of controversies. In 2019, he was released from the Raiders and later the Patriots after numerous off-field incidents, including allegations of sexual assault and threatening behavior toward team officials.
Brown would get help from Tom Brady when he was able to convince the Tampa Bay Bucs to sign him and he kept his nose out of controversy long enough to help lead them to a Super Bowl victory in 2021.
The following year would his tenure and his career as he got into an altercation on the sidelines during a Jets game, stripped off his jersey, and ran off the field.
Despite his talent, Brown’s off-field issues have led to his dismissal from several teams, and his future in the NFL came to an end because of it.
