Last month, the National Football League announced that former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick as well as other legends would serve as the 2020 Pro Bowl captains in January.
There were a bunch of people who were not happy with that decision.
Almost immediately, a couple of petitions showed up online calling for the NFL to go back on their decision to honor Vick at the Pro Bowl. Those petitions have combined to reach more than 1.2 million signatures.

The noise got so big that commissioner Roger Goodell released a statement that said he was behind Vick and what he has done to redeem himself and would not be removing him from Pro Bowl festivities.
The more surprising part of this is that even the most die-hard football fans won’t even tune into the Pro Bowl, so it’s hard to believe that these folks actually care about the game, when less than half the people who signed the petitions actually tune in to watch the Pro Bowl.
In 2007, Vick plead guilty to federal conspiracy charges for his role in a dogfighting ring. He served nearly two years in jail.
Some dog lovers will never forgive him for what he did.
