Colts rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson left Sunday’s game against the Titans with a shoulder injury which is troubling since it marks the third time in five weeks the first-round draft pick has been forced to the sidelines.
Richardson was injured on a run in the second quarter. A hard tackle by Titans linebacker Harold Landry III drove his right shoulder into the turf.
He received medical attention on the field and left the game. It was soon reported the rookie was diagnosed with a Grade 3 AC joint sprain and could miss at least a month and possibly longer.
A sports doctor is now painting a grim picture of his injury as he referred to it as ‘very severe.’

While we don’t know what the MRI told them, the Colts are reportedly continuing to gather more information about their QB’s injury.
This is obviously not good news for the rookie as he appears to be very good when playing but injuries are already starting to become a problem in his first season.
Richardson, the No. 4 pick in April’s draft, has had an explosive start to his NFL career and fans can only hope to see him for an extended period of time once he heals up.
