The Indianapolis Colts have not been shy about the fact they want Anthony Richardson to play early and often in his NFL career.
Judging by the latest video involving him, we can see why they feel that way.
The below video shows the incoming rookie running to his right, throwing the football of balance and on his right leg only as he tosses the ball in the perfect spot for his speedy receiver.
Anthony Richardson will have a long road of development ahead as he adjusts to life in the NFL, but that doesn’t mean he won’t contribute right away. The No. 4 overall pick is expected to take over the starting role as soon as possible, which means he should be in the conversation for the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award.
Richardson’s rushing ability should give him the edge when defenses try to gameplan for him, which should open up lanes for him in the passing game.
There will certainly be some growing pains during his rookie campaign, but Richardson should be considered one of the top rookies for a rebuilding franchise.

The additions the Colts made this offseason could help be a turning point for the franchise. It all comes down to how the development of Richardson goes.
Maybe another year or two and the Colts will be a dangerous team to deal with in the AFC.
