Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson will miss practice this Monday following a medical procedure, though he is expected back on Tuesday.
The team has announced that Richardson, the No.4 overall pick of this year’s draft, had a procedure done on his nose on Sunday to correct his nasal spectrum.
Of course, it’s never great when a QB has to undergo a medical procedure at this point in the year, yet this particular one shouldn’t worry the Colts too much.
“He will miss practice today and depending on how he feels we expect him to return tomorrow,” they said in a statement.
The rookie has not been named QB1 for the upcoming season, but he was drafted to be the team’s starter and should fill that role eventually.
Gardner Minshew and Sam Ehlinger are the other QB options for Indianapolis, with Minshew likely to get the lion’s share of the reps on Monday. Whether or not Richardson returns on Tuesday is yet to be seen.

Meanwhile, there is a saga brewing up within the organization as running back Jonathan Taylor has hit out at reporters claiming the Colts might move him to the non-football injury list due to a back issue.
Taylor says he does not have a back issue.
“Never had . . . back pain.” he tweeted on Sunday. “Never reported back pain. Not sure who ‘sources’ are, but find new ones.”
