Despite being a three-time MVP and one of the most gifted quarterbacks to ever play, Aaron Rodgers falling short of getting to the Super Bowl has become the theme of his career ever since he won his first only ring.
In a lengthy article examining Rodgers’ future and the next steps for him, Mike Sando of The Athletic quotes an anonymous coach who thinks Rodgers is too focused on things that have zero to do with the game in order for him to be successful and win multiple titles.
“Rodgers wants to talk about vaccine mandates and cancel culture, while Brady talks about all ball,” the coach told The Athletic. “Rodgers loves the standing invite on the A.J. Hawk show (Pat McAfee Show) and he wants to talk about cancel culture, woke mob and every other thing that doesn’t do anything but splinter and unfocus the group. To me, Rodgers doesn’t show the focus that it really takes to win the multiple championships.”
Just days before he was set to take on the 49ers, a team that he was already winless against in the playoffs, ESPN’s Kevin Van Valkenburg published an extensive look at Rodgers where it featured him discussing vaccines, President Joe Biden, and more
“I don’t want to apologize for being myself,” Rodgers said. “I just want to be myself.”
Rodgers would go on to have one of his worst games of the year and fall to 0-4 against the 49ers while not even getting close to the Super Bowl this year.

It was the second straight year they earned the No. 1 seed in the NFC but failed to reach the Super Bowl. The team has won 13 games in three straight seasons but went just 2-3 in the playoffs during this stretch. Rodgers led the Packers to a championship after the 2010 season, but the team hasn’t made it to the Super Bowl since.
Having Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers as back-to-back franchise QB’s with only three Super Bowl appearances and 2 rings has to be one of the most complete and utter failures by a team in recent memory.
