Andy Reid is a man who only cares about his team and the players that are on the roster.
At some point, Jordan Love will likely become the Green Bay Packers’ presumable new starter after the team gets the compensation they want to trade away Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets. Love’s name has been constantly linked to Rodgers ever since he was drafted to be Rodgers’s eventual replacement almost three years ago.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid is still not familiar with the young backup QB and that is despite playing against him in 2021.
When talking to reporters at the annual league meetings on Monday, Reid was asked what he thought about Love, but he seemingly had no clue who the reporter was talking about.
“I’m trying to remember Jordan Love,” Reid said.
A reporter had to remind Reid of who Love was and Reid said, “from what I remember I thought he was good.”

It’s clear that Reid does not remember him at all.
Love was drafted with the No. 26 pick in the 2020 NFL draft with the expectation he would one day take the reins from Rodgers. Nobody is expecting him to be the best thing at QB for the Packers, unlike what the franchise has been accustomed to with Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers starting for the team back-to-back.
Finally, Rodgers is almost out the door via trade, leaving Love as the heir apparent.
Love can now use this moment as motivation going forward.
