Such a class act by a guy who got booed off the field for his final time walking to the locker room.
It’s been a week since Andrew Luck completely shocked the NFL world with his decision to retire from the game of football at the tender age of 29.
The former 2012 No. 1 overall draft pick took out a full-page advertisement in the Indy Star on Sunday morning and formally thanked all Colts fans for the wonderful journey.
“It has been the honor of a lifetime to represent the Colts and the city of Indianapolis on the world’s stage,” he wrote.
“I can’t wait to see our team take the field and continue the journey.”
As for his former team, the Colts are set to open the season in Los Angeles against the Chargers.
