CBS play-by-play man Andrew Catalon couldn’t help but poke fun at his new coworker, Matt Ryan, during the latter’s broadcasting debut on Sunday.
Catalon, Ryan and former New York Giants’ running back Tiki Barber were in the broadcast booth for the Minnesota Vikings-Tampa Bay Buccaneers game on Sunday. Ryan, who hasn’t officially announced his retirement from football, signed on with CBS earlier this year.
During the contest, Catalon brought up the good old “28-3” joke, an obvious reference to the Atlanta Falcons’ Super Bowl 51 collapse against the New England Patriots:
Give Ryan credit for being a good sport about it, because it’s impossible to imagine that he’s gotten over it.
