Jared Goff has never won an NFL game without Sean McVay as a head coach. He’s 0-13 without him. maybe that was one of the reasons why he chose not to speak to him after he was traded to Detroit.
On Sunday morning, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports relayed that Rams head coach Sean McVay attempted to call Goff after he was traded, but Goff answered and hung up soon after.
The two also ended up at the same restaurant together by chance a few weeks after the trade.

However, months after the trade, the two finally got a chance to speak through their differences for about an hour on the phone.
Despite Lions head coach Dan Campbell challenging Goff to step up after a terrible performance in Week 6 for the winless team, there is no quarterback change coming, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.
“First, play the QB who gives them the best chance to win. As of now, that is Goff. There have not yet been conversations in the building about benching Goff in favor of David Blough. If the struggles continue, perhaps in the future. But not now. Goff does not have endless rope, but he does have plenty.”
Rapoport noted that the Lions are still evaluating if Goff is the long-term answer at quarterback and “no conclusions have been reached.”
Goff and the Lions square off against Matthew Stafford and the Rams on Sunday in Los Angeles, where Goff played his first five seasons.
