Amazon Prime Video is truly trying to make a big splash as they are targeting Marshawn Lynch as a feature reporter/analyst for its exclusive Thursday Night Football package that begins next season.
Lynch would be part of a more relaxed studio-type show where he would conduct interviews with players. The report adds that the 36-yearold could also do reports about the city the games are taking place in, utilizing his sense of humor.
Marchand reported Amazon is hard at work to make a strong impact out of the gate. The company has hired Fred Gaudelli, the executive producer for NBC’s Sunday Night Football, and has held “extensive negotiations” with Al Michaels for play-by-play duties.
As you know, Lynch made an appearance with Peyton and Eli Manning in September, but had to be taken off after he couldn’t stop cursing during the live broadcast. Lynch’s appearance was still well received and Amazon knows just how loved he is.
His video segment on Buffalo nightlife with ESPN’s Kenny Mayne became the stuff of legend.
