We won’t get to see Ryan Fitzpatrick on the field anymore, but the good news is the journeyman quarterback’s beard will still be gracing our televisions during NFL games.
That’s the news that has just been reported, as Amazon Prime Video announced today that Fitzmagic will be joining Tony Gonzalez and Richard Sherman on their Thursday Night Football crew this upcoming season.
As Adam Schefter points out, Fitzpatrick, Sherman and Gonzalez will be taking care of pregame, halftime and postgame duties for Amazon, who will be debuting as the broadcasters for TNF this season.
Fitzpatrick just recently announced his retirement from the NFL. Shortly after, the tributes started to roll in on social media, including this awesome transformation photo of the quarterback from his early days with the Rams, all the way to his final days with Washington.

Fitzpatrick spent 17 seasons in the NFL, playing in 166 games for nine different teams from 2005 to 2021.
He finished his career with a 60.7 completion percentage, 34,990 passing yards, 223 touchdowns and 169 interceptions. While he had a very successful career for a former seventh-round pick, he never had the luck of winning a Super Bowl or making a Pro Bowl.
