An NFL official was unfortunately in the wrong place on the sideline during the game between the New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions and it cost him his leg in a terrible way.
The sideline worker suffered a suspected broken leg after a horrific collision with New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara on Sunday.
Saints running back Alvin Kamara took a speed option flip from Derek Carr on a 3rd down and went to the left sideline as Lions linebacker Derrick Barnes used his shoulder to smack Kamara out of bounds.
As cameras turned on Kamara, one could clearly see the sideline official’s leg turned to the side and that he was in an incredible amount of pain as he screamed out.
Fans were immediately concerned as others pointed to Kamara’s reaction in the immediate aftermath. Kamara checked on the guy before running back onto the field to carry on with the game.

Play was stopped as the sideline official was tended to. He would be stretchered off the field and was shown with an air cast on his left leg.
At the time, the Lions were up 21-7 in the game, but things got much closer as the Saints would tie the game up. However, Saints quarterback Derek Carr would suffer an injury and Jameis Winston would play the rest of the way.
The Lions would eventually would win 33-28.
Kamara totaled 51 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 14 attempts. He also recorded six receptions for 58 receiving yards.
