The Philadelphia Eagles season just got that much worse.
After getting blown out by the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, a damning report was released Philadelphia radio host Howard Eskin who not only confirmed that the anonymous source ripping Carson Wentz and Doug Pederson was none other than Alshon Jeffrey.
The report earlier this year highlighted issues within the Eagles locker room where unnamed people ripped into Carson Wentz and how he is as a person around the rest of the players.
“His aw-shucks, overgrown-Opie-from-Mayberry routine plays well with the local and national media. Indeed, sources describe Wentz as “incredibly hard working,” “determined,” and “highly intelligent.” But the true Wentz is more nuanced and complicated, with sources describing him as “selfish,” “uncompromising,” “egotistical,” one who plays “favorites” and doesn’t like to be “questioned,” one who needs to “practice what he preaches” and fails “to take accountability.”
…. The glaring difference is that Foles, every source stated, would go through progressions within the offense — exactly how it was designed to run — and hit the open receiver, regardless of who it was or where they were on the field. Wentz only saw, it seemed, one receiver the majority of the season: Zach Ertz. This understandably frustrated the rest of the offense, considering other receivers were open downfield. To stop the Eagles in 2018 under Wentz was rather easy: Stop No. 86.”
Several Eagles players weren’t having any of that nonsense, so they took to social media almost immediately to rip the person who wrote that report.

As you can see, Jeffrey wasn’t part of that list above.
Just a few days ago, ESPN reporter Josina Anderson dropped a bombshell when she shared yet another quote that could prove to be damaging as it was aimed at quarterback Carson Wentz and the offense.
“Well, with the team being 3-3, obviously, an Eagles source also talked to me about how that offense is functioning.”
“One of the things that they said is: ‘We need to make bleep simpler. Sometimes you just need to handle what is manageable.’ They said: ‘Even Peyton Manning knew when to check it down.’”
Carson Wentz right now is 38% on passes that travel 15 air yards, has three interceptions on passes like that, which is tied for most in the league. He also has 148 passes on those that are 10 yards or fewer. Right now he has nine touchdowns and zero interceptions like that. So I do think it is an apt point.”
Wentz was completing 69.6 percent of his passes for 3,074 yards, 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions at the time of his injury that ended his 2018 campaign.
