Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Allen Hurns has received an outpouring of support from NFL players and fans ever since he was carted off the field during the Wild Card game against the Seattle Seahawks with a gruesome leg injury.
Among the many folks who have reached out to him was a young fan who is the son of NFL Network’s Jane Slater’s friend. She took to Twitter and posted his heartwarming letter.
“I saw the Cowboys, Seahawks game last night. I saw you get hurt. I hope you are okay,” the letter reads. “Don’t worry, you have the best doctors in the world. I prayed four times for you. You will get way better shortly.”
Hurns was moved by the letter and replied to Luke via Twitter to thank him:
❤️ appreciate it Luke https://t.co/fL7we1oTtO

He then went back to Twitter and thanked everybody for their prayers as he has to deal with months of rehab before he’s ready to take the field again.
Truly appreciate all the prayers. If you know me you know I don’t lack having faith. I trust and thank the man above through the ups and downs ??. Ready to attack this recovery process, Better believe I will come back on a mission.
