Fans of any sports team have a way of showing their true colors when certain players do not perform in the way that they expect them to. Betting on sports as well as Fantasy Football has made the reation toward them even worse than what it was in the past.
Alexander Mattison found that out after Thursday Night Football.
The Minnesota Vikings running back is having a rough start to the 2023 season, but that doesn’t mean he should be treated like crap. He took to social media after Thursday Night Football to share the vile and disgusting messages he received from so-called fans.
Last night, Mattison rushed eight times for 28 yards and brought in three of six targets for 11 yards in the Vikings’ 34-28 loss to the Eagles on Thursday night. He also lost a fumble.
Mattison had what had to be considered a second straight disappointing performance to open the season as he had 11 carries for 34 yards against the Tampa Bay Bucs. Alexander Mattison is expected to play an important role for the Minnesota Vikings in the 2023 season but it has not been the start he was hoping for through two games played.
Mattison recorded 283 rushing yards on 74 carries with five touchdowns on the ground across 17 games last season. He formed a strong partnership with quarterback Kirk Cousins as the Vikings reached the playoffs.
