McCarron’s most recent action under center came with the St. Louis Battlehawks during the XFL’s 2023 season. The 33-year-old last played in the NFL during the 2020 season, as a backup on the Houston Texans for two games.
McCarron was drafted by the Bengals in the fifth-round of the 2014 draft. Most of his success on the gridiron came during his college days, when he won three national championships with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
