Pro Bowl wide receiver A.J. Brown has issued a threat to the Philadelphia Eagles, urging them to pay Jalen Hurts, or else he’s following him wherever he goes.
That isn’t to suggest that the Eagles aren’t ready and willing to hand the quarterback the contract he deserves. They’ve even been reported to have told the agents of other players on their roster that getting the player a new deal is their main offseason priority.
Hurts is in line to get a bag bigger than the one Josh Allen secured with the Buffalo Bills and the Eagles are understood to be eager to offer it.
Brown, though, is making sure the team doesn’t slip in that regard and create a situation similar to the one Lamar Jackson is facing in Baltimore.
“I love Philly but if you do not pay this man, just ship me off [to] wherever he’s gonna go,” he said during an appearance on the Raw Room podcast. “Listen, so you talk about pressure, Howie [Roseman], get it done.”

Roseman, meanwhile, indicated a desire to take care of the QB last week.
“Obviously we want to keep our best players here for the long term, and he’s certainly one of our best players,” the GM explained. “We’ll keep all contract talks internal, but we definitely would like to keep Jalen Hurts here long-term.”
While Brown and Hurts did not play for the same programs, their friendship dates back to college. Hurts was drafted by the Eagles in 2020 but Brown joined the team as part of a trade with the Tennessee Titans last year.
