Normally rumors around this time of year should be ignored, but the rumor about Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry being traded to a powerhouse can be simply ignored as we draw closer to the Draft.
Former NFL player turned NFL analyst, Akbar Gbaja-Biamila, is making a shocking claim that Henry is on his way to the Philadelphia Eagles.
As we know now in this new age of breaking news, former players calling out a trade or trying to start a rumor isn’t new and shouldn’t be dismissed because of the connections they still have inside the sport.
One Philadelphia Eagles star as well as a former teammate is seemingly buying into the rumors.
Philadelphia Eagles WR A.J. Brown took to Twitter and said, “Nobody has #22. “Make it happen if it’s possible.”

The Eagles only have six draft picks in the 2023 NFL Draft, with four of them in the first three rounds including two picks in the first round. The team just may want to move one of their premium picks to pull off a move like this that would make them even more dangerous in 2023.
Last season, Henry rushed for 1,538 yards and 13 touchdowns, all while carrying the ball a league-leading 349 times. He made the Pro Bowl for the third time in his career, but even his dominance couldn’t help the team from collapsing and missing the postseason.
Henry would be the second Titans star to join the Eagles in the last two offseasons as the AFC South team traded A.J. Brown to the NFC East last offseason. He had the best season of his career after being traded to the Eagles on draft day in 2022.
Henry played college football at the University of Alabama, where he won a Heisman Trophy and two national championships. From there, he would go on to be drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He quickly established himself as one of the most dominant running backs in the league, leading the NFL in rushing yards in both the 2019 and 2020 seasons.
Henry is known for his combination of size, strength, and speed, making him one of the most difficult running backs to tackle in the league. He has been compared to former NFL running back and Hall of Famer, Earl Campbell, for his bruising running style.
He is a weapon that would be needed for any offense in the league.
